Last updated: September 25, 2026. What is AI-generated on BoogiePaw, which models we use, and what AI can and can't do.
BoogiePaw (boogiepaw.com) uses artificial intelligence to turn one photo of your dog into a short dance video. This page explains what is AI-generated, which third-party models are involved, how your photo is screened, and the limits you should expect.
1. What is AI-generated
- The dance video is synthetic. Every BoogiePaw video is created by an AI video model. It is not a recording of your dog, and your dog never performed the moves shown.
- Your photo is a reference, not an exact copy. The model uses your photo to guide your dog's appearance and a dance template's reference clip to guide the motion. The result is inspired by your dog: facial details, markings, fur colour, proportions or accessories may change.
- The soundtrack is not AI-generated. The video model runs with audio generation turned off. After rendering, we attach the soundtrack that belongs to the dance template you selected.
- There is no free-text prompt. You choose a photo and a template; BoogiePaw sends a fixed, template-specific instruction to the model.
- Fixed output format. Each video is 10 seconds, 9:16 vertical, 720p. Specs and credit cost are shown before you confirm a generation.
2. Which AI models we use
BoogiePaw is an independent application. We do not build or train our own foundation models; we call third-party models through their APIs.

We may change providers or model versions to keep the service reliable and safe; when we do, we will update this page. BoogiePaw is not affiliated with or endorsed by ByteDance, Alibaba, OpenAI, OpenRouter or Waffo.
3. How your photo is handled by AI providers
- To generate a video, your uploaded photo and the template reference clip are shared with the providers above using time-limited access links.
- BoogiePaw does not use your photos or videos to train AI models. Third-party providers process data under their own terms; see our Privacy Policy for processors, retention and deletion rights.
- Your uploads and results are private by default and are not published in a public gallery. We only show content publicly with your explicit consent.
4. Automated safety screening
Before any credits are spent, every upload and generation request passes automated checks:
- File type, size and dimensions are validated.
- An AI vision model checks that the photo shows a single dog and contains no people, minors or prohibited content.
- The generation instruction is screened by keyword filters and Waffo Prompt Sift.
If a check fails, the request is blocked and no video is generated. Automated screening can make mistakes in both directions. If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal as described in our Acceptable Use Policy; appeals are reviewed by a human.
5. Known limitations
- Your dog's appearance may drift from the photo (face, markings, colour, body shape).
- Motion may contain visual artifacts: flickering ears, sliding paws, warped limbs, extra or missing body parts, or background distortion.
- Timing may not line up perfectly with the music.
- Results depend heavily on photo quality, pose and breed.
- The same photo and template can produce different results on different runs.
- Template previews show a dance style; they are not a guarantee of your result.
If a generation fails on our side and no video is delivered, the reserved credits are returned automatically. A completed video that doesn't look the way you hoped is not a technical failure; see our Refund & Cancellation policy.
6. Using and sharing AI-generated videos
- Your videos are yours to download and post. Please do not present them as real footage of your dog actually dancing.
- Many platforms (for example TikTok, Instagram and YouTube) require or encourage labelling realistic AI-generated content. You are responsible for following the rules of the platform where you post.
- Only upload photos you own or have permission to use, and follow our Acceptable Use Policy — no NSFW, violent, hateful, deceptive or infringing content, and no photos of people or minors.
